Independent game studio · Built in the open

We make games to learn what AI and craft can build together.

Industrial Excitement is a learning project. Some of what you'll play is AI-generated, some is shaped by hand, and all of it is free. We're figuring out what works as we go — and your feedback is part of how the games get better.

The short version

One question, asked out loud.

What happens when AI-generated content meets intentional, hand-crafted design? We started with that idea and no game-development experience — and we've been learning by building ever since.

Some areas of our games are AI-generated. Others are hand-designed. We're transparent about that because we think it's more interesting than pretending otherwise. Your feedback helps us understand which is which, and how to do better.

The games

Works in progress, free to play.

How these games are made

Our games blend AI-generated content — environments, assets, and some narrative elements — with hand-designed areas, mechanics, and direction. This is a learning project. We're figuring things out in the open, and every game is completely free to play. If something impresses you, frustrates you, or breaks entirely, we want to hear about it.

How we work

Six steps, on repeat.

There's no grand methodology here — just a loop we keep running, getting a little better each time around.

01

Idea

It starts with a feeling or a question — a place we want to be in, a thing we want to try. No design doc yet, just a spark.

02

AI generation

We use AI to rough out environments, assets, and fragments of story — fast, rough, and plentiful. Most of it gets thrown away.

03

Manual design

By hand we shape the mechanics, level flow, and direction. This is where the generated pieces get chosen, cut, and made to mean something.

04

Design documents

Once something works, we write it down — rules, systems, intentions — so the next idea has somewhere solid to stand.

05

Iteration

We play it, break it, and change it. Then again. Most of the work happens here, in the unglamorous middle.

06

User feedback

You tell us what landed and what didn't. Free play, honest feedback — that loop is the whole point of the project.

Play free. Tell us what you think.

Every game here costs nothing and is still being built. Your reaction — good, bad, or broken — genuinely shapes what comes next.
